My Arrow of Light

My fellow Americans, as President of the United States, it is indeed a great honor for me to bestow this coveted award to you Stephen Axelrod the most highly decorated Cub Scout of 1953. You have earned this award because of your selfless commitment and dedication to helping others and making America a better place to live in. So I present to you the “Arrow of Light".

In the sequel to his acclaimed one-man show, "Blue Collar Bay", Stephen Axelrod takes you on a peril-fraught trip from a tough childhood in Queens to life in the Marine Corps, an insider's place on the New York Stock Exchange, and finally through his struggles as an aspiring actor.

In my “Arrow of Light” Stephen Axelrod is a third generation Daily News truck driver, a high school drop out, a former Marine, he lands on Wall Street where he becomes a high rolling broker with a seat on the New York Stock Exchange. Ultimately he gives it all up to pursue his dream of a higher calling …to be an actor. “My Arrow of Light” is autobiographical and a testament to a life brought forward through hand-to-hand emotional combat.

His natural gifts for story telling and his passion for uncovering the truth of his personal quest are resourceful, funny and obsessively honorable. He is above all, a polished hard-edged performer.

“My Arrow of Light” is a New York story, with specific time, place and culture, but timeless in its theme, audience’s young and old have responded to cultural chords and themes.
