Stephen Axelrod has been seen in numerous films: “Sons”
screened at The Cannes Film Festival, “In the Soup” Grand Jury prize winner of the 1992 Sundance
Film Festival. He was seen as the lead in the hit HBO film, "Everyday People" that was nominated for a Gotham Award in the Breakthrough Actor category of Ensemble. Recently he worked on "The Good Heart", which starred Brian Cox and Paul Dano. Axelrod has appeared many times on “Law and
Order” and "Law and Order Criminal Intent".
Winner of the Jerry Kaufman Award for playwriting.
Axelrod has appeared as Jerry Grossman in the hit Off-Broadway show, "Grandma Sylvia's Funeral" and as Toland in "American Clock" directed by Austin Pendelton and many other stage credits too numerous to mention.
Stephen has been featured in a number of commercials: Dell,
Digital Computer and Paxil.
He studied acting professionally with Robert X .Modica.
Stephen proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.
He has a BA in Drama from Hunter College and is a former
member of the New York Stock Exchange.
